LOL good question. The first chameleon is the one everyone learns with. Some of us (including me) learn the hard way, sometimes with little or no information to go by (I was a batchelor in a small Utah town looking for company and noone told me a thing when I bought him). The second chameleon is the one everyone tries their hardest to get right. But I don't think it would be neglected. If keeping one chameleon takes you, say, 30 minutes a day in total maintenance, having two won't double it.... Maybe plan on 40-45 minutes a day. But let me warn you, once you get 2 or 3, you better hide your wallet. Many of us know about how out of control an addiction to chameleons can be. I had 2 Jacksons, then I needed a veiled, since it seemed like everyone had them.... Then I had to have a panther, etc etc etc. Then you get all these chameleons and you want girls or boys for them all. You know how it goes. I put in a good 3 hours a day during the week on them and 6 or 7 hours of my Saturdays and Sundays. It's hard hours with no time off and no vacations, but it's all worth it!
