She's bleeding...

steen Nov 16, 2003 09:23 PM

I know I've seen other posts on here about this, but I can't seem to find them and can't recall what the responses were. My ball python just completed her first shed with me....it was nice and clean, all in one piece with the exception of the tip of her tail. When I went to remove her from her cage, I noticed that the paper towels on the bottom had some blood on them (a spot about the size of a pencil eraser) and that her vent was slightly bloody...do I need to be concerned about this or is it possible that she just caught her spurs on the shed?? Thanks in advance.

Kristine

mine did the same thing, and I found out from everyone that some snakes have this happen. Mine cleared up by the next day, and everyone said it wasn't anything to worry about.

here is a picture of what mine looked like.
