so this is a picture of a snake my friend and I rescued a couple weeks ago. He is a 5 year old redtail boa that is around 2-3 feet and just over an inch around (they called him a dwarf, more like near dead). He was very bad, must have had just enough food to keep him barley alive, had a bad shed that has his tail injured. We took him to a reptile store when we first got him cause we weren't even sure what kind of snake he was he looked so strange (bug eyes, and being so small). when they went to sex him, his skin started to fall off, and the reptile store said this snake had been better off dead. Well, we are still taking care of him, got a few good meals into him and hoping he is on the way to recovery, if he pulls through this might be one of those great rescue success stories (keeping fingers crossed). I just can't believe people do this to animals, there are plenty of people who would take the snake for free.

ps the picture is on his first day with us, in the 20 gallon tank he came with.
