What is a typical minimum length and weight for a female gaboon to be bred for the first time?

Thanks,
Jason

I have had females breed at alittle less then 3 feet...... The bigger the female the more neonates she will produce...... All of my females are well over 5 feet..... Also you want to put a male in of almost equal size in with a female..... A first time breeding female will not produce alot of neonates either..... Hope this helps.....

Thanks, yes it does help. I have a 3' female that I am wanting to pair with a 3' male Rhino to try my luck at producing crosses. Just was wondering if I could attempt it this year or if I should hold off until next year.

You mentioned small first clutch sizes. What is a typical average for first timers?

Thanks again,
Jason

You could try it out and see what happens this year...... Breeding usually ends in December but I have seen copulation as late as Febuary....... For the first clutch from a 3 foot female, I would not expect more then 10 to 15 neonates...... Good luck with the cross breeding...... This year I am working on gaboonXpuff adders...... Should be interesting......
