I have a heater in Tempest's cage, and have also used ceramic heat emitters (CHEs) for night time heat. Infrared lights also work, but I've noticed he does like it completely dark better than even the low red light from the infrared bulbs. Personally, I like the CHE's, but they do throw alot of heat and need a hood that can handle them, an ordinary light hood can melt.

Hi,

What is the average temperature in your home? If your iguana is a year old or more, room temperature (70-75F) is an adequate nighttime temperature for an ig.

Hope this helps!

Julie
