I placed my female crested in w/1 of my males and he started making a strange buzzing noise and was moving his tail back and forth. Doed anyone know if this is part of the mating behavior of these guys? He then bite her on the neck which is typical mating behavior but I was unaware they could vocalize the way he did. Has anyone else ever heard their cresties call?

. . . and they were doing the same thing . . . and yes, that is mating behavior.

I noticed the female was VERY vocal - pretty cool. They aren't quite as vocal as the monilis I once had - they sounded like baby croc vocals on helium. Very funny.
