Miami hypo stripe = EVENTUALLY striped crimson???

h0mersimps0n Nov 17, 2003 09:15 AM

obviously I would need to breed the babies of the babies but it could be done with this pair right?

Has anyone ever seen or hear of a striped crimson?

You may get something that looks like a Crimson stripe in F2, or you may not get anything that comes close in 10 years. It also depends on what "your" standard of a Crimson is. Most people have different personal views on what qualifies as a good Crimson. As some one who has been working for Miami Motleys for a few years, I can tell you it is a challenge. I got a fully striped motley Miami from Don but I don't know if that is because she is het for stripe and het for motley, or if it is just a motley variance. But I think it would be a much easier way to go about things if you bred a striped motley Miami to a Crimson or Hypo Miami and you will probably get some sort of striped or fully striped motley Crimsons in F2. Much more likely that the Miami X Hypo Stripe F2's.
