feeding crix while away...

lele Nov 17, 2003 10:45 AM

...I am wondering for the 7 days my friend will be caring for my herps is just givng the crix a good gutload and cricket water (or water) good enough?

After doing my ususal cut up the veggies routine and thinking about telling all this to Deb...well, she is doing me a HUGE favor and I want to keep it simple. I am not going to have her dust them either. So it would only be one week that neither the crix nor Luna, anoles and geckos would not be getting highly nutritious feeders. I want her to focus on the importance of water/misting and would to have her forget b/c she is pressed for time after chopping veggies.

So what do you think??

Lele-

Sounds fine! If you wanted you could make some prepaid dishes with veggies pre mixed and chopped and leave them in the frig. This way she can take the old one out of the cricket box, through it away and take a new one out of the frig and put it in the cricket box. You could do the same for Luna if she also enjoys veggies. The water will be the most important thing and sounds like you got it covered. Hope this helps!

thanks John - good idea. I might do that for the first few days and do the gutload/water only for the last 4 or so.
