Timor Copulation, 10 minutes after intoduction

Hugo Nov 17, 2003 11:51 AM

Hi there,

Finally, today was the day I was gonna put my male (blue spot) Timor together with my female Timor in the big enclosure. I have the female about 5 years and the male
only six months, I kept 'm seperated for those six months
to see if he wasn't sick and stuff. So I cleaned out the big enclosure and put a lotta new wood in. first I put in the male
and second the female, they where both in a seperated
hidding place in the large tree (in the enclosure)
after 10 minutes of smelling/tasting his seroundings, he went into the hidding place of the female and started
copulating, there are still at it as I write this.
and I didn't even start the "rainy season", he must be really
horney. for my female its the first time so I hope he's gentle with her haha.

this female has layed 11 eggs last year, so I keep my fingers crossed.

Is it normal that they go at it so fast after being introduced?

thanx and cheers,

Hugo
