Take a look in the photo Gallery. There are some Horned frog pictures that show the enclosures.

k thanks, totally forgot about the gallery. Now ive got a prity good idea of how the tank is gonna be set up. A new question thouhg when feeding mice, will they eat f/t or p/k? of will they only take live? Tanks, Mike

Frogs usually only eat live, except some aquatic frogs that will accept the pellets. But when it comes to a pac man, its best to avoid things such as mice and fish. They are both high in fat (especially pinkies) and can cause problems such as obesity and lipid build-up wich can cause blindness. You're MUCH better off using crickets as the staple diet and supplimenting with things like earthowrms, meal worms, wax worms and super worms. Just to mix up the diet a bit, only offer things other than crickets every few feedings. And ALWAYS be sure to dust with a calcium suppliment to avoid things such as metobolic bone dieses.

how many crikits should an adult eat? and how often should tehy be offered? Mike

I'd say 5-6 larg crickets every other day, around the third or fourth feeding offer maybe 3 large crickets and 3 meal worms or something.

I feed earthworms & superworms as the primary diet, with crix only occassionaly. I'm not fond of the high parasite content possible in crix.

would silk worms be a good diet?

buffysmom Nov 19, 2003 08:04 PM

I know both of these worms are good staple diets for leopard geckos, but I don't know for frogs. Any experienced froggers out there that could tell us if superworms &/or silkworms are a good staple diet for frogs?
