Misting and water spots

JLJ2018 Nov 17, 2003 03:30 PM

Instead of misting, I always let my BD swim in a sink while I'm preparing his salad for the day. I'd like to go to misting, but years ago when I misted I remember it left horrible water spots on the glass (the water is VERY hard here).

Does anyone have this problem? I have a reverse osmosis system that I could fill the spray bottle up with, I guess that would leave less spots? Maybe distilled water?

hi,

i use a normal mist bottle to squirt my breadies and i don't have the problem of the water spots.....i do however have 2 bottles so that wile i'm using one i can leave the other open and let all the chemicals and such out.....if u have a distiller that will work too.........good luck with those sopts

I know exactly what you're talking about. One of my bd's is in a tank that used to house a WD with an automatic mister and know the sides are coverd with those stains and I can't get them off. I'd imagine distilled water would help quite a bit.
