Couple of questions

khalliaar Nov 17, 2003 05:09 PM

I have a couple of questions, first is that my 5 and a half month old bp had just refused a meal with me for the first time. I know that this is not a problem, but, the temps have dropped in the cage and I was wondering if he is too young to begin brumating? Also, I have just started to handle him more often and 2 out of the last 3 times I have heard him make an odd noise. I dont' know if it can be described as a popping or a clicking, but it happened once when he was out and then I didn't hear it again until I took him out a few days later. Then, again, it happened once. Could this be due to the dropped temps? (The floor temps of the cage are about 87-90 degrees and he switches from the warm to cold side to regulate, the air temp is about 82 degrees) One other thing is how much slower do males grow than females? I have posted about his weight before and someone said that they had a bp about his age that was over 400grams. mine is about 200 right now. Thanks.

My BP makes a poping/clicking noise too. Luckily she did it when we were at the vet and the vet said that it is normal.
