I went to Home Depot and got sidney some play sand to spruce up his new home, and I was wondering if I got the right stuff. It says something like "Tropical Playsand", and "from the caribean". It said something though that sort of worried me. It said something like "[insert company name] limestone products" which leads me to believe that it is made from limestone, and isn't that basically what calcium sands are? I'm not too worried though since I havn't seen him lick any at all yet, I feed him in a seperate rubbermaid enclosure, and his food bowl is in a corner that has about a 9-12"x 9-12" square of repti carpet over the dirt. If this isn't the right sand, what is? There was this other sand there too, but it had black sand particles in it too, and it didn't say that there was no silica in it, plus it had an overall rougher feel to it.

Another thing I'm confused about is that I had a 10 pound bag of left over repti sand from when I was foolish enough to spend the money on it, and the particles in that are much much smaller. I sort of like the playsand better because his feet don't go as deep into it when he runs around, but I was just curious as too what was better. It seems like the small particles would accumulate in the dragons intestines (from there licking that they do every once in a while), where as the larger ones would be more easily passed.
