I use a mixture of bran, dry oatmeal and honey mixed together until it crumbles and is slightly sticky. I've had the waxworms in there for months and a lot are currently pupating (and very few deaths in comparasion to the numbers I keep) but I have never seen any thing resembling mold. The baby cereal may (and I say MAY because I've never used it) cause mold if it is wet or damp for any period of time, but as long as it's just honey you're mixing it with, I don't think you'll need mold inhibitor. Just my two cents worth, I've not raised waxworms for years only months.
