I have had my bearded dragon about a month now and he seems to be a very picky eater. He will only eat superworms out of my hand, and only about 5 of them a day. He poops about once a week and seems to be getting skinnier since I've had him. I'm really worried. I will put about 10 worms in a dish for him, but he seems to only like to be hand fed. Could the previous owner have spoiled him? How can I ween him of this? He will be one year old in September 03. His basking temp is 108 with a 100w basking bulb and a repti glo uv light. What can I do to help him??

You can definetly wean him off of that. My friend's beardie would only eat from these yellow feeding tongs when she first left him with me, but he does eat from his dish now. I would hold the tongs in the dish. You could just hold the worms in the dish. Then after a little bit just leave them in the dish. If he doesn't eat them after a while then hand feed, but give him a chance to take them on his own. I also put the beardie right at the dish for a week or two when I put the food in, but now I just leave it for him to come to when he wants it.

yep they can get spoiled .
also i would do a fecal exame at a veterian.
it also is posibal he have parasites .
because you say he get skinny !!
its always a nice thing to do just for shure .
one day you offer him only greens and some supers in a bowl if he not want them take by himzelf let him go.
next day you do the same ,on the end he get hunrgy and he wil go for them .
but do onyl this if you know for shure he is healthy and not have parasites
