Oh Man...

geckogirl Feb 08, 2003 08:11 PM

Well when i jumped outta bed this morning to check on Cyrus she had either pooped out, or regurgitated 3 BIG piles of stuff /cricket parts. I know that at least one of the piles is poop but 3 in one night that just doesn't seem right. So when it was feeding time I gave him a cricket and he just looked annoyed, SOOO, i feed him a wax worm and he still looked annoyed I tried it later and he seems mad. he hasn't eaten in 3 days and when i walked in there like a minute ago he was in the same exact position that my other /dead/ gecko always had, and he has like all the symptoms that lil leo had. im at a loss, he's got paper towel for bedding and a bunch of hides , i don't hold him much since he's new. help me please thank you

I would help you but the last 2 geckos that I have had symptoms like that have died so obviously I shouldn't be giving suggestions on this subject.

I sounds like crypto. My first leo died of crypto and had the same symptoms. I would take it to the vet it may just be a simple infection or parasites.

I thought that my first leo had crypto and she never got diagnosed with it /she died b for i could take her to the vet/ and i have him in the same cage only it's dis infected. could it be transfered through clothes
man this really sucks i lost 3 leo's in the past 2 months, my parents wonder why my room is a mess. I tell them time and time again my leo's come before everything. any way i know there is no known cure to crypto but could you give me some advice thank you

There is a possible cure for crypto.

It's called Alinia (nitazoxanide) by Romark Labs.

It's cured my Leo, she was confirmed 1 Cryptosporidium Serpentis in November last year. She's doing great now thanks to that drug. Unfortunately it wasn't available in time for some of my other leos.. =(
