jumping danger??

nancyjo Nov 17, 2003 08:57 PM

I now this may sound like a silly question, but I got worried today when my new dragon jumped off of my shoulder. He is a few months old and about 8". I was holding him and he slipped away from me, up my arm, over my shoulder, and down my back. I went low to the ground so in case he jumped he wouldn't be to far from the ground. Well he jumped and I heard him land on the hard linoleum floor, probably two feet high off the ground. My question is what is there jumping skills and what is normal for them? He seems O.K. but it scared me.

I don't know, but I can tell you this....

I have had a baby or two sometimes jump out of my hand and land on the floor. We are talking about a 4 foot drop to a tiled floor!!! Lucky for me, nothing broken and they all seem none the worse after their tumble.

He did it again today. He is new and hates being handeled. This time he jumped and landed on his back. It is freaking me out. I don't want him to get hurt. Do you find that they are pretty agile or fragile??
