I know for sure that you can't reference a picture to your harddrive. It has to be one located on the internet.

There are websites that give free space accounts (30-100mb) and allow you to store stuff on them. You can put your pics there and link them accordingly.

I am not aware of anyother method, nor do I remember the name of any such site.

What format are you using? Try to save as low quality JPEG or GIF formats if you are using Kingsnake. I know the other websites will accept larger files.

how do you change the pic into a smaller format?? do i have to change it on my camera or is it something i do in the program???

triniian Nov 18, 2003 12:11 AM

Depends on the camera. It could be under your camera settings... for quality or type or it could be on your software as an option when you transfer the files from the camera to the computer... it depends. You have to find that out on your own. Good luck.

HEY PIMP! Love the name hehe!
Your camera should be taking pictures in JPEG format. It sounds like you may have the resolution up too high. A good standard size for a photo is 1800 X 1600 pixels, or something like that. You can also keep the resolution at 72 ppi, which might reduce the file size. Once you upload them to your comp, you should be given an opportunity to slideshow view them, and also an option to resize it.
I use photoisland(www.photoisland.com) to make an account and upload pix. Once you do all that, you will need to type in the html code to link the pictures to your post. Confused? It's simple...just worry about getting your photos hosted, then come back here and check out kingsnake's "How to Post Photos" section for a little more explaination...the html code is in there...and if you're still confused, ASK SOMEONE! People around here are a little 'geekier' than I, and so should be able to answer all your digital inquiries!
Good Luck MAN!

In your album you should have the option of clicking the pic to see what it looks like in normal size. When you get to the normal sized pic (also might give you an option of seeing fullsize, good for detail bad for dialups) if its anything like printroom was then in a box below the pic it should show you the URL link,if so right click and select all, copy,Then open kingsnake and paste the URL inside the message box.If photoisland is anything like digitalpose.com then once you get to the regular sized pic (not fullsize) then right click on the pic,hit select all,and copy, then paste in the message box on Ksnake.Do the for each individual pic.Hope that helps.Regards Bill McLeod

At the bottom of the options list you will see properties.Click that and it will bring up the image info. Then right click the URL (www.whatever.com/jpeg) and select all,Then copy and paste to Ksnake. Regards Bill McLeod
