What are the dangers of getting a Wild Caught Tree python?

Are tree pythons generally not tame-able? or dis-like requent handling?

same question for Tree boas if anyone knows.

Wild Caught Green Tree Pythons come with a variety of health risk. Sometimes they have trouble eating and they come with diseases and mites. And oh yeah, they're usually not as handable as captive bred green tree's. Bottom line, stick to captive bred Green Tree Pythons and Tree Boas.

Also it can be difficult to acclimatise wild caught chondros.....espically young or neonates...Also like mentioned wild caught GTP can seem fine but a large number die within the first few months wether this is due to the stress of being exported....Its true that wild caught come with the much larger risk of mite infections, worms and other parasitic problems.
Some wild caught chondros do well in captivity but these are best left to keepers with a wealth of experince and deep pockets as the will need vet treatment!
If this is to be your first GTP go with a captive bred specimen from a reputable breeder,The benefit of a reputable breeder is they will stand by there animal and give you the back advice that you require and you will know its history IE.... feeding, shedding.
Good Luck
