Gold Or Yellow tegu?

I found this picture . What do you guys think Gold tegu or Yellow Tegu. They siad it was a gold tegu. I have never seen one this colorful. Russ

What do you mean gold or yellow tegu? I wasn't aware there was any difference...
At any rate, that is a nice example of what is usually called a gold tegu (T. teguixin), but most of the tegus on trinidad look like that. They are a lot more colorful than the majority of the gold tegus you see in, say, colombia and peru.

There is a tegu in brazil that is called a yellow tegu . Tun- duns. Not shure of the name. But it is defenitly yellow not gold.I never seen a gold tegu with gold color on its legs like that. Russ

Is this the type of tegu from Brazil you're thinking about Russ; Tupinambis Duseni? I think that pic you put up does look more colorful then the few gold tegus I've seen and it looks like it was taken in the wild. In the 2 pics I've found of T. duseni I've noticed they both have that rich yellowish color and a dark smudge on their nose (kinda like a blue does). Don't expect me to identify them though, I just found my pics labeled T. duseni.
