Inferno Just died.....

Inferno, My adult male Saharan was found dead this morning.... We have no idea why. He was eatting and running around yesterday and first thing this morning, He was gone.... I just don't understand! His girlfriends are fine. But He's gone. What the heck is going on????!! He was even gaining weight he was eatting so well! I just don't understand.....

I'm very sorry to hear this...
Maybe you should take him to the vet and see if they can determine the cause of death? How old was he, by the way? If he was older I would just assume old age/ailments, but if he was young, might be something to worry about. What kind of substrate do you use? Crushed walnut or corn cob can rip open the uro and cause internal bleeding if ingested. I read somewhere that sand can cause impactions, but I think only in young uros. I'm not sure, I don't have alot of experience (thankfully) with uro deaths...

He was an adult but No way to tell his age. WC.... He was on Wheat bran. I'm in the process of trying to figure out a better substrate for them.... Still a work in progress... Can't afford a necropsy right now... funds are tight.... wish I could....
