Boa breeding activity question

Flavio80 Nov 18, 2003 02:14 PM

Hello friends!
I have bought a 9 foot female that weights near 45 pounds from a friend who owned her as a pet. She is 5 1/2 years old and never been bred. I'm keeping her in a large cage with regular temperarure cycling (the previous owner also cycles her temps because he turns off the theating lamp for 8 hours during the night). I have 2 males and i have introduced em thogether with her 3 days ago. They always stay upon her and often they move their tail above her but never near the female's tail. The female is remaining almost coiled into the cage without a great reaction to the males. Is it normal? How many days must i wait to see tail-to-tail courting and copulation?
Is it right to place both males together vith the female?
Must i mantain temperature cycling of mid 80's during the day and low 70's during the night with 8 hours of light even when males are in her cage?
Thank you!
I'll post a of them soon.
Flavio

You should remove the male that is showing the lest interest in the female.
