Hello all,
First, I've included a picture of my new Uro, Josephine. He's been here for three days now, but I'm concerned he's not eating much. I work in the room where he lives so I can watch him most of the time.
I know you're not supposed to put too many worms in his bowl, but I found that out afterwards. Between six waxworms and one mega, if he's eaten any of them, it would be two waxworms -- just because I can't find them. The others are still alive in the cage.
As for the greens, he eats about two or three pieces of whatever greenery is on the top of the bowl, three times a day -- at least that's all I can see.
I give him fresh greens and growth food daily, and after some of the greens have dried out by mid day I put some more in the bowl.
While I'm sure in the long run, moving the bowl closer to the cold side is good, I don't want to change his surroundings any more than I have to.
I think the temperature in the cage is OK because he doesn't spend much time on the hottest part, and doesn't spend much time on the coldest part. He seems to sun himself during the morning, and that's about it.
I also wonder if my being in the room as much as I am is scaring him.
Thoughts? Suggestions?
THANK YOU!
Rob
