raise humidex to tops 70
make a shed box if you want
soak him in water or gatorade apparently
leave him be as much as possible
don't bother trying to feed him
thats about it
goodluck with your first shed

My snake just shed out of nowhere. He didnt even show any signs he was going to shed. His eyes didnt turn milky and his belly didnt turn pink. Does that happen often?

maybe you didnt see them, eyes will always go milky blue, clear, appear more black as usual, and dry around the socket. the scales will appear dry looking and raised up with a darker color pattern.

Raise humidity to 75-80%. This should result in a better shed.
You can do this:
1) by putting an extra bowl of water in the cage, or a larger bowl of water. This creates more surface area for water to evaporate into the air.
2) If you use an UTH, You can also put the bowl of water on the UTH which will cause the water to humidify the air in the tank.
3) misting the tank a couple times a day
4) creating a moist hide using moss.
Any of these method should help.

Also:
Handle as little as possible while in shed.
Feeding is not necessary.
Put something in the tank for the snake to rub against, like a rock or something rough.

During this time snakes are most vulnerable and do not need to be held or excited by food.

Sometimes the shed may take about 1 week to 10 days. Later in the shed the eyes will clear and the snake should shed within 24-36 hours.
