So your going to end up with some Tigers that are 25% burm and 75% retic?? Because tiger is co-dom?? And the rest are just going to look funky. Do you realize what impact this will have on people, lots of people are going to have a real hard time telling the difference between a tiger mutt, and a normal tiger retic.

tdark1: Ignorance can be hidden by never typing/saying things in the first place ;].

Good luck Kara, put me on the list for a super borneo bateater.

While you're at it, how about some albino bats too?? =]]

nerd_inc Nov 19, 2003 09:14 AM

That would be AWESOME!!!! They're definitely on our wish list too - trust me, we'll post them here first if/when they finally happen. Thanks buddy!!!!!

You're kidding, right? Of course we took into consideration the outcome of this mix - we want to know what they'll look like!!!! If you have a problem with it, DON'T BUY ONE! Simple as that. What YOU think as you sit there wallowing in your anonymity is not really my concern. Snakes from this clutch will all be honestly represented (just like every other animal we sell) and even microchipped to avoid any confusion. Not that I need to justify it to someone who hides behind a login, but hey, I'm in a pretty chipper mood this morning - all my snakes are breeding like bunnies!!!!

To everyone else - thank you for your support on this project! We're excited to see what the offspring will look like, especially since there were some very cool animals in our first Jungle Retic clutch. We'll keep you posted!

Well thanks for putting my mind at rest. I know that NERD would not mis-represent an animal, I was more worried about re-sale animals that would be sold as pure tiger, and get into the market that way, but you defeted that by microchipping. I didn't mean for my first post to make such a stink, I simply was asking a question. Good luck and congrats on the breeding.

I can uderstand Robs feelings about these, it isnt hard to understand the argument of hybrids. Some people feel very strongly against it, others think there just awsome. There are some future poblems associated with them... Take for instance Indian pythons, they have been crossed with burmese so much it is almost impossible to track down a liniage of pure indins in this country. The bateaters however are very intresting snakes. I am in the middle here I personaly cant say much about hybrids, like em or not they have been a part of herpetocture from the begining and will forever be a part of herpetoculture into the future. Whatever your feelings about them are good or bad these creatures cannot be unmade, so congrats, and goodluck with the project. -Shaun DeBord

You've got one more name to put on the 'sold' list if any of these are available! Pretty unbelievable, and it appears that you guys have a great 'probability' with these rare matings! Best of Luck on this project along with all the other killer retic things going on!

The Possibilities Thanks for such Inspiring words Kara!!! I hope that Karma crosses over to my snakes' way of thinking! (I'm getting tired of playing Barry White over and over haha.

Rob Zombie was on in the background when those pics were taken. I think Andy typically has metal on downstairs, so maybe the big bad@$$ constrictors need something a little more cutting edge to get their freak on?????

But don't quote me on that.
