I am having the same trouble with my female that I got a few days ago. It probably just takes more time to ween them off of one thing to another. My male ate a mealworm once and now just licks them and spits them out, but my female never even tried one.

you can try giving a couple different worms... if you have a friend that has herps, you can try putting in one wax worm, one meal worm, and one superworm and see if she tries to go for any of them... make it wiggle from your finger (dangling) or move it around if you're successful with any of them, keep adding more mealies and supers... but don't add anymore waxies - other than a as a treat once a week. if she's still young, crix might entice her to eat more because they're a little more active in movements... when she gets older, she'll come around~ if she still doesnt eat, she's probably one of those really picky ones that won't change her diet no matter what you do good luck!!

I followed a previous suggestion from this forum: keep a dish of mealies in the cage at all times & slowly reduce the # of crix provided. Once you're only feeding 1-2 crix a day, your gecko will get the hint. I switched all 4 of mine this way & was successful.

Well, the thing with my geckos is: that they wont eat out of the bowl! When I just tip the bole over and make the mealies go evrywhere, ye then they will eat them. But in the bole.. they look at them.. but dont eat it.. Maybe because all the mealies are all tangled together that it looks like a big thing? and he thinks it wont fit in his mouth? any suggestions?

thanks,
David..

Try a bigger bowl. I use a 6" diameter bowl when introducing mealies to younger leos. This way they can climb right in, but the mealies stay put.
