Whatever happened to.....

Blackwater Nov 18, 2003 07:26 PM

The "Field Collecting" Forum? I used to lurk there from time to time to see what cool pictures I could see, and to watch the latest battle of the century.... I just looked in the forum index and it is gone... probably hasn't been there for a while... does anyone know where the folks are congregating these days?

Thanks...

It's my understanding that the old timers there are congregating a a different forum... i can't remember the name unfortunately. something about 'field herpers' or 'field herping', i think. the forum here is now called field notes and observations...

Peter: It's OK, I'll handle it. I read a book about something like this.
Brian: Are you sure it was a book? Are you sure it wasn't NOTHING?

Kingsnake banned a whole lot of the regulars for no good reason after another flamefest, so these regularsset up www dot fieldherpers dot com as a substitute - good site with good people, by and large, and it left the ks.com field forum with a mere rump of a few people.

In the spirit of freedom of speech and democracy for which kingsnake.com is so renowned (...NOT!), they do not allow one to post the actual URL. A rather pathetic sign of insecurity if you ask me...

Cheers,

Wolfgang
