i'm not saying i plan on doing this, so no jumping down my throat please, but besides the obvious diet difference, would it be possible to keep a cwd and an iguana in the same cage?

No. Iguanas are very territorial, and grow so much faster than a waterdragon that your dragon would be killed pretty quickly. Also, your iguana can get sick from eating the waterdragon's food.

I kept a full grown 10 year old female iguana with my adult male water dragon and a female water dragon. They got along great and would bask under the heat lamp on each others back. I had great luck keeping them like this. I do however say do it at your own risk because all lizards have different temperments and the iguana could easily kill a water dragon. But good luck with whatever you do.
I wouldn't do it. The setup for iguanas is different than a water dragon. Water dragons need a big soaking dish, iguanas may not enjoy the higher humidity levels...also there is the temperment issue...an iguana could kill a water dragon easily...and the water dragon may stress the iguana.
Whatever you do...feed them seperately.
i didn't actually plan on doing this, i was jsut curious as to if you could.
thanks,
me
