Hello. I have a 6 1/2 foot female Queensland. I would love to breed her. I just saw an ad in the paper for an adult male Jungle Carpet for ultra cheap. Can these two breed? I know that a lot of people disagree with hybridizing, but I'm more curious in the scientifics of it; if they can reproduce, and if their offspring can reproduce. People regularly cross Diamonds and Coastals, so im wondering why you dont see jungle x coastals? Any info would be helpful.

Yes, they can reproduce. Frankly, however, all you'll end up with is a bunch of mutts. Coastal X Jungles aren't especially attractive. They usually look like ugly, low-quality jungles. I also think that there would be a very small market for these crosses. There's already a fairly small market for DXJs, and Coastal X Jungles would probably be much less popular. I think you would be much better off buying a male coastal to breed with her. It shouldn't be too hard to find an adult male. I've seen some in the classifieds that were priced pretty reasonably.
