I found a salamder..BIG one. Need ID and care help please!

Hi I'm new to the forum, i keep several herps (turtles and skinks mainly), but I just found a large olive and black striped or spotted type salamder (i think).
It's about 6-7" long, very docile, and I have no idea what this is. i liv in Buffalo NY, and I'm sure nothing like this is indiginous to the area. Can anyone help me tell what it is and how to properly care for it?
I have pictures if anyone needs to see them I can email them.

Nevermind. I have done the research and "erinie" as I have named him, is an adult blotched tiger salamander. He's very cool, I have researched all the necessary care, so he's a keeper.

It's most likely a tiger. Some eastern tigers don't hold a trus yellow, but tend to have a more green cast.
