Got Bats?
I was worried that they were flimsy when I first took mine out of the box because it is so light..but it is a very well put together enclosure...
I will be purchasing many many more in the near future..

You never experience life until you have kids..then you realize what you should have done rather then what you did do
about Moonstruck cages. I'm looking to sell off one of my Vision arboreal cages and replace it with one of their 4 footers. I currently have a terrestrial snake in that arboreal cage - lots of wasted space. I've been paying close attention to feedback on them and have been real pleased to hear how great they are...glad to hear from one more pleased customer!
What are the dimensions of those cages, and what cage dimensions do you like to use for an adult--say, 7 foot--female bcc?
anything over 7' I would go for a 6' or 8' cage.

Got Bats?
I ordered two of these cages in black.
While i like the cages alot and the price is great, they came with a heat tape kit for ME (the electrically challenged) to install. ALSO, the seams were not bonded in all places and i have yet to receive the "glue" to repair them as promised after two emails requesting such. Quality Control is obviously lacking here. I got promises but no action.....I AM GOING BACK TO BOAPHILE CAGES. Have NEVER had any trouble with them! susan
From what I've heard and read, many people get NO response when they inquire about Jeff Ronne's cages, neither by phone or via e-mail. Then when people do get contacted it's weeks later, not just days, WEEKS(if at all as indicated by quite a few people). And I've read several complaints of cages arriving damaged. I've also heard that once you pay for your cage(s)....after you finally get a reply, you again wait several weeks to receive your cage. Now of course a FEW people have had good contact with Jeff, and had no complaints, but I've personally read a lot more negative things than positive in terms of CUSTOMER SERVICE. The thing that kills me is that people excuse his lack of customer service arguing how busy he must be taking care of his animals. Well, from what I see he does his boas and cages full time. I don't know about you, but I work a full time job, and still have to take care of my boas(and not just a couple). I would think if boas are his "job" as well as cages, his time restraints would be geared toward customer service, not the other way around. So, I guess there are two sides to every story. You have had no problem with boaphile caging, others have. People have had no problem with moonstruck, but you have. I guess it's a crapshot either way?!?!?! Take care!
The problem i have with Moonstruck is that they have not made the claimed effort to send me the items promised so that I can REPAIR the cages myself. They took 3 weeks to get to me.....not a problem for me. They arrived slightly damaged.....again i accepted this. But when i am asked to put together and attach the heating myself, when this was never mentioned during purchase... and when they come with seams not bonded together and top bowing....THEN I HAVE A PROBLEM. I was told i would be sent the necesary "glue" to bond the seams.....has NEVER arrived. Asked again.....still hasnt arrived. Frankly i like the cages, but i am put off by the lack of customer service and the obvious lack of quality control. One would think that checking to be sure all seams were welded solidly would be part of the assembly process.
As far as Boaphile cages go.....no shipping damage, no delay in receiving, all cages arrive exactly as described with all components in working order (no do it yourself stuff). I think the two cage types are both nice.....the service makes the difference. If you cant take care of your customers, then dont start a business! Just my opinion after dealing with BOTH of these folks. susan
