Well, that's not really a natural RETF set-up since they pretty much live in the canopy of the rainforest, so I'd ditch the water altoghether. What I've done in two of my tanks, including my RETF tank, and works great is use an elevated water source. I put a wire around the water dishes and attached it to the top of the tank so I can change the water easier, but it also keeps the crickets out. The frogs have no problems finding it, RETFs are especially good at this, and it looks pretty nice since I can keep the tank lusher and more *wild* now.
