Strange blister like problems.

Carrero May 31, 2003 08:25 PM

I have never seen this on my Iguana in the 10 years that I've had him. Noticed it the day before yesterday. He has what appears to be bubbles on the very surface of his skin on his right side only. The bubbles are skin color, but they pop very easy to the touch, then a clear water like liquid runs/shoots out. The skin at that time goes flat, but reappears again the next day. I doesn't seen to hurt him, and his appatite seems to be OK. Please help if anybody has experience with something like this. Like I said before, Ive had him since he was an infint 10 years ago/

He needs to see a vet, those *sound* to me like they *might* be abcesses, although In my experience abcesses arent sodelicate to the touch...

i doubt that they're abseces as they wouldnt pop if they were.. if the person with the ig cant afford the vet, i'd try popping them since it seems not to hurt the reptile, and put some kind of antibiotic ointments or something on it, clean them up see if they go away, if not then its definatly time to see a vet.. also since the liquid coming from them is clear, thats a good sign that they arent totally infected bumps... perhaps he's allergic to something? or perhaps bug bites? we'd have to know more to help more.. I hope this helps
