I would like to know the most you have ever spent on a snake. Wether it be a boa or python. Also, what is the maximum you WOULD spend on one if it was a once in a lifetime situation

Well, first part of question, that's like talking about how much money you make, not real appropriate. The second question, say Leucistic boa...there would be a second mortgage taken out!The one that would cause the second mortgage, the sale of the current collection, possibly the black market sale of one of my kidneys, etc. would be an albino dumerils. That is my personal favorite "what if" boa right now. Take care.

My collection is basically comprised of the more run-of-the-mill type snakes: Bci, corn snakes, a few carpet pythons, a couple of Burmese pythons, and a trio of Solomon Island ground boas. The most I've spent on any one animal was my first Bci ($200 back then) and the next runners up are my pair of Dumerils boas...but I got a good deal on the pair when I got them back in '99. What would I spend? Not much compared to some...maybe up to $1,000-$1,500, if I had it to spare. I want a snow boa (my dream snake), but I personally can't justify spending the amount of a new car on a snake...they're neat but not THAT neat. But that's just me, and I'm a bit frugal.
The most I have paid for a snake so far was 2 times I paid 1000
(the first time was for a granite het albino burm a couple years ago, and the second was for my new albino female boa)
The most I would pay currently for a boa would be 2500 for an arabesque, but I can't seem to ever find one when I have the funds.

You never experience life until you have kids..then you realize what you should have done rather then what you did do
