After months of attempted brumation, near starving, and generally being a pain, Draconis started peeling skin at his back right foot. Both I and my vet felt his body weight was too low for brumation (as he was only a little more than half the size of other beardies his age), so I prevented him from brumating by raising his temps a little more. After misting him at random intervals, giving him warm baths (actually showers), and constantly petting him and playing with him, he finally decided he wasn't ready for hibernation and started eating again (like a glutton!!!). And now he's finally growing out of skin again. It's like getting an obstinate kid to do something he doesn't want to do!
