Read some of the info on my site. Generally, cranwells have a broader head, longer horns, and are duller colors. Ornates are normally infused with reds (though not always), have smaller horns, and have smaller heads in proportion to their bodies. Their care is identical and neither makes a better pet than the other.

If you're looking at the two types, you'll notice that cranwells seem to have a more sloped nose and enlongated head. Ornates are more rounded in the nose with less of a slope.
