Philodryas baroni breeding question

Flavio80 Nov 20, 2003 03:56 AM

Hi! I have a pair of philodryas baroni. The male is CB'00, he is about 5,5ft and very healty and active. The female was born in the end of april '02. She is an incredible eater and grows FAST! She is now between 3 and 4 feet (probably near 4') and quite heavy bodied. She continues to eat like a pig everything i'll offer her, while the male is almost off feed. He accepted a small mouse 9 days ago, but refuses food regulary since one month. I'm planning to start brumation in december 15. I'll place them, like past years at a temp of 65 F without light. I'll keep them in that cooling for a little more than 2 months. They're separate during this period. My question is: Can i try to breed em next season? My female will be around 2 years old at that time, but i think that her lenght/weight should be ok. Tell me what you think!
Thank you in advice!
Flavio

Sounds like a decent plan to me.
