Rubbermaid dimensions

jbsky87 Nov 20, 2003 05:57 AM

I am interested in using a rubbermaid, but I have only found the rubbermaid quart sizes in the archives. I was wondering what the dimensions would be for an enclosure? Baby enclosure? Feeding tub?
Thanks in advance for all help.

I use a file box made out of rubbermaid material. It has a secure lid. It measures 15" X 12" X 10". That's 180 sq. inches of floor space. For a hatchling that would be fine. It's about the size of a 10 gallon glass tank. My ball python was young and small when I got it--about 12-14 inches long. For a feeding box, I initially used a 6" X 3" X 3" plastic pet tote, but now I use a shoebox size rubbermaid/sterlite container.

What size exactly, is a shoebox size container? Whenever that is mentioned I envision a box about 14"x 10"x 6"...just big enough to put in a pair of running shoes. Is this actually a good size for a ball python?

I have a shoebox size container made by Sterlite called a "ClearView Storage Box". It is 6 quart and measures 14 1/2"L X 8"W X 4 3/8"H. I only use this for a feeding box. My snake is about 2 feet now.

Ahh you only have a young ball in that container...thought you used it for an adult. It seems way to small for an adult ball python to live in...feeding is alright I guess...don't know alot about balls yet.
