If he's eaten frozen/thawed four times in four weeks I wouldn't go back to feeding him live just because he refused food once. He may be entering a shed cycle or just wasn't hungry. If he continues to refuse frozen/thawed, try moving it with some tongs to make it look alive. Some snakes are attracted to movement and this may help.

Sure, it's going to take a lot of mice to satisfy your cribo once it reaches adult size. If you can get him switched over to rats now it will probably make your life easier later on.
Good luck,
Chris

I'm in no way as expert as some of the other posters here but my BTC just stopped eating a couple weeks ago. I've chalked it up to a sudden drop in outside temp, that was somehow broadcast in my snake room. I live in SoCal but it really cooled off here and it does impact inside temps (especially nighttime) to some extent. Have you tried chicken parts yet? Try a small leg or part of a wing if a leg is too big. My BTC loves dem chickens!
Shedding is also a primary reason for refusal.

Also, I have an annoying Solomon Island Boa that requires me to out on a "puppet show" each time I feed it F/T. The previous owner feed live but I refuse to go back. Thaks goodness no one can see me when I have to do this but I am quite good at it.

Good luck. He'll come around.
