crested handling question >>

aimee_s Nov 20, 2003 02:07 PM

hi all, i had a question before i purchase my crestie

when it comes to handling - how do you remove your crestie from its cage while trying not to frighten or stress it out so it doesn't drop its tail?

thanks!

I usually just 'nudge', or in more professional words, push its a$$ with my hand out if front, and it usually just jumps on it. You can also scoop it too, that works. Just dont pull the crested up too fast, because they have a tendancy to wrap or coil their tails around something. Uncoil it first, then lift.

lol what a way to describe your nudge hehe~ but that doesn't seem too hard i guess... i was just kinda trippin off the tail - even if he did drop his tail, i'd still like it i'm planning on using a 15gal with a lot of branches and plants, so hopefully i can safely remove him from the screen top i need to pay a visit 2 the east bay vivarium - lol! thanks again MN!
