eye swelling

hi all,
recently , i bought a group of phyllomedus tomopterna.and i have notice one of the frogs eye swelling.it seen it have some fluid under the top and bottom eye lid. what coarse that,and what medicine treatment i could give it next time i encounter it ?by the way,that frog die.

Phil,

sorry to hear about your tomopterna. COmers with a territory when buying WC. A bought two sauvagei about 2 months ago and one cam down with exactly the same thing. It got puss stuff below it's eyes, which then turned black and eventually covered the eyes. I tryed treating with tetracycline, but to no avail. I tlaked it over with some people and we think it was a fungal infection. I'm not positive tohugh, it couldhave been bacterial. My other sauvagei is doinbg great. So good luck, I will be getting some vaillanti soon and taking extra precautions to avoid this. Get your tomopterna from Pete?

yes ,i got them from Pete.i think these have to do with humidity.i have one like this before when the humidity too high.

Not sure. I keep my waxy's humidity extremely low, so it couldn't be that for them. Not quite sure.
