normal or not? if not what?

Looks normal to me. Why would you think otherwise?
you can't tell very well in the pic but he's got very yellow makings and lots of blushing every where you can't see it in that pic i'll try and get some more of him and post him a little later
i figured he was normal just wanted some confermation
if you have to ask if its normal 95% of the time it is.
I guess it all depends on what "normal" to one person is!
Normal? Not at all! I'd say exceptional. It is a very pretty snake. Enjoy it.
.
Yea...yellows brown out a lot more in pics than in person. Take a look at the pic of my classic jungle that I just posted. While the pic shows some brown creeping down her sides, the yellow has hardly darkened at all when you see her in the flesh. Even in your picture, though, the coloration looks different than on your "average" ball (this, in addition to the neat pattern she/he has, was what caused me to say that it is an exceptional animal).
Many would probably call it a normal because some "big" breeder hasn't attached a name and a price tag to it. I would probably pay a small premium (between $10 and $30 extra) for such a unique, though genetically unproven, trait. I doubt it would qualify as a morph, but maybe as a means of bringing out the desirable colors in other morphs? Maybe in a Pastel or something? I don't know.
I guess that's the fun of breeding, though. You cross your fingers and wait to see what pips!
Sometimes you get lucky, and sometimes you don't.
I have some normals that are quite unique, and I love to sit and stare at them just as much as I do "morphs". Market value doesn't determine the personal value I assign to my animals. I DO! All market value determines is what the typical person would be willing to part with to have it. If the "market" isn't willing to give me as much as the animal is worth to me, then I will simply keep it! I'd rather see my animals go to someone who will appreciate them as much as I do, though, than just to get a big payoff from someone for them.
Boy am I talkative today! I guess I picked the wrong week to quit huffing glue!
Here's a picture of Martha...my favorite "normal" in the whole world. Her colors are much lighter than typical balls as well. She's mean as hell, and a real pain in the butt, but I don't think there is a person around who would be willing to give me enough to make it worth my while to lose her. She's got more spunk in one caudal scale than any other snake I've known. To me, that's what it's all about!
i'm going to breed him next year so we'll see what happens.
here's a pic of my favorite "normal" she will be breeding to the other that i posted above this one is a very nice looking
"normal" and no one could give me enough money to get rid of her

aint she cute!
We have to find another term/phrase for normal or wild type P. regius...no offense to anyone is intended but it almost seems whenever someone has a nice, normal Ball Python that is nothing short of beautiful in pattern/coloration, they think it is something more...my opinion is that normal BP's vary so greatly...high-yellow's, heavy blushing, nice deep orange's, super crisp light tan and brown's...all qualities of exquisite wild type animals, nothing more, nothing less. So why do so many of us see "normals" as lesser than they are?? My collection of normals has more color and pattern diversity than a sweater box full of cornsnake morhs (not really) but as far as earth-tone's go, every color of Autumn shows true. These "normal" animals deserve a more suitable term, so they get the adoration they deserve.
Let me see...
Normal Ball Python...hmmmm
Normal Royal Python...nah, doesn't sound good together...
any ideas?????

The more I look at your pic, the more I think he looks like my high-gold. It's hard to see in a picture for the reasons I outlined in my other response, but it is quite possible. It would be much more apparent in a younger snake. If it IS a high-gold, the trait is dominant. I'll post a pic of my High-gold soon so that you can compare, once I get a chance to upload it to a web site somewhere.
Better yet, email me (sparke303@cox.net) and I'll respond with a pic for you!
Here you go.
it does look a lot like mine
i'm gunna breed the guy i posted above with a "normal" female owned by one of my friends so i'll keep you guys posted as to what happens
maybe i'll get lucky maybe not either way its a real nice looking snake!
