Couple of random blood questions...

1. How old will the python be before the spurs are visable? Mine is 3-4 months old and I don't see any spurs, is it probably a female?

2. Is it ok to hold him 3 days after a meal, does that give him enough time to digest most of it?

3. Is it good/bad to let blood pythons swim in some warm water every once in a while?
