Size question

How much slower do males grow than females? Mine is 5 and a half month old bp I have posted about his weight before and someone said that they had a bp about his age that was over 400grams. mine is about 200 right now. Also, He has just refused a meal with me for the first time. I know that this is not a problem, but, the temps have dropped in the cage and I was wondering if he is too young to begin brumating? Thanks.

200 grams is not a bad size for this years youngsters. Ball pythons do not actually brumate since they come from a part of the world that has no 'cold' season so to speak. I don't change the heat on mine at all throughout the year, though the night time lows do naturally get a little cooler this time of year. Keep offering food, if he doesn't take it, he doesn't take it. Don't worry about it.
