Looks good to me. Is it a spledida?
All splendida, no cal king blood known.
Nice looking snake I really like the patterns on it.

That looks like a Southern AZ intergrade kingsnake to me. I have seen lots of young "splendida" type kings like that from southern AZ which grew up into more Yuma looking snakes. Still a beautiful animal, by any standard!
Here is a bad pic of my favorite all-time splendida. This male came from the Hueco Mts of west TX. He was a perfect splendida IMHO.

I had a female almost as nice as him from the same road. I traded them to another guy and they died in his care.

My adults came from Chris Cullota with Southern Reptiles. They are 100% splendida. My trio carry the hypo gene. A pair of my adults look exactly like yours, beautiful, and one was not that attractive. Interestingly, the ugly female thru the nicest babies. Here is a pic of my nice adult female, and I think you will agree she is all splendida.

but I don't have any, and dont really plan on it.
It's hard to find the exact type I like, any way: all-black sock-head, and hi-yellow on the sides.
I love to see them, though.

...and I think to myself, "What a wonderful world."
IF you like the high yellow on black, check with Howie Sherman of Striker Herps. My new Splendida I purchased from him has an unreal amount of yellow. He has very nice Desert Kings.
Also while on the subject of Desert Kings, since both of mine are still pretty young, does anyone know how adult Splendida compare to Cal. Kings, Mexican Black Kings, Speckled Kings, and Black Kings, as far as how stout and robust they are? There's no question that the Eastern & Florida Kings are in their own class for size, I was curious about the remainder of the Getula complex, on who was next in line for girth and length.
Steve
I would say Splendida is next on the size scale with Cal Kings nipping at their heels so to speak. Some Holbrooki get good sized as well.

Man, what are you doing with a gun in space? - Charles "Chick" Chapple
Hi!
Nice baby on the picture
I have some splendidas in my collection - normal phase, black & yellow.
This is for example my breeder male.
I love them
Best regards
