I have enjoyed reading this forum and thought I would like to join and show off my Lavender Motleys.

These are neat snakes, but the best corns I have ever seen are on page 2 under the thick black border okeetee corn discussion. Those are the best looking corns in the world in my opinion. And those pics that were posted are incredible!! But these motleys have alot of potential to produce some cool looking babies, and I can't wait to see them.

Your lav is awesome!!!

I started that thick black okeetee thread because I have an 03 female that is showing signs of nice, thick black borders. I handpicked her from a clutch of super nice okees from a breeder who got them from Love's line. The parents did not have borders as thick as this baby though. I was hoping someone might have babies or projects started to produce babies in the next year or two so I can get this little lady a mate. I have been informed that Lee Abbott has some okees like that but I would want to see them in person first before buying since I am only searching for that specific look. I think that the appearance of thick black borders will become more desirable and more available as it proves out genetically. But who knows how many genes are involved. If ya think about it, no one yet knows how the yellow and orange are connected...It would be awesome to have okees with thick black borders, deep orange blotches with a solid yellow background....Kinda like K.Loves centerfold article pic in Reptiles Mag!!!!! can't get much better than that! -carl3

I have a group of 1.3 I will breed this spring. They have great potential to produce some really nice thick borders with great color. Here is my male; I agree he could have some nicer borders towards the front, but I think he has great potential, and my females are as nice, with pretty good black, so we will see.
