Help, my beadie ate something bad!

luker Nov 20, 2003 11:29 PM

I came home today and my bearded had escaped from her cage, I found her in a pile of clothes sleeping. When I went to go pick her up she was all puffed out, and her mouth was open really wide, but not the same way as a beard display. I put her back in the tank, and she did not change, still the same. I have had her for just over a year, never seen this. I believe she may have eaten something while out of the cage...

I live in the middle of nowhere, no herp vets, any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

Did it look like your beardie was choking? How was its breathing? And you said it was sleeping in a pile of clothes, how cold did it get in the room?

Thanks for the reply...doesn't seem like she ate something anymore, although she is very aggressive, I went to go check her out and she bit me pretty bad. That has never happened before, she is running around the cage like crazy...I just shut the lights off and I'll see how she is in the morning. Doesn't seem to be dying so should be ok, crazy aggressive though.

Thanks,

Luker.

Hope all turns out well.
Eating something still could be a possibility, it can very well make them act weird. Another thought was..Is there other animals in the house that may have terrorized it while it was out?
