Female having TROUBLE! Please Help!

Warren Jun 01, 2003 01:10 AM

I have a 3 yr old Albino Sonoran Gopher female,(4 foot plus) that began laying eggs at 6 am yesterday.(Saturday Morning)She layed the first one at 6am but none since. The next egg is at the vent and she is clearly tring to push the next egg out. It is now going on 24 hrs since she layed that one egg. WHAT should I do in the NEXT 24 hours??

Thanks in advance!!

If she hasn't gotten the second one out within 24 hours, get her to a vet. There are drugs they can use to help her with the contractions that push the eggs out, but if the eggs are adhered to the walls of her uterus, then they can't really use those drugs and they will have to open her up to get them out. If the eggs is visible at the vent, then it's probably not adhered but others behind it may be. If she's eggbound, the stuck eggs are likely infertile.
