cypress mulch question

crochuntermyhero Nov 21, 2003 01:43 PM

i've heard of many people using cypress landscaping mulch in cages, i've also heard it needs to be treated before using it. My question is whats the best way to treat it?
i've seen mite sprays used on it, i've also heard of baking it in an oven, what temp and how long does it need baked at? just curious i'm in dire need of bulk mulch and repti bark is way too expensive thanks in advance

James

I have baked it in the oven on cookie sheets. 300 degrees for half an hour. kills everything. Rin
