I live in SW Florida and I'm thinking about keeping my day geckos outside. What is the lowest temp that Phelsuma would tolerate? What other drawbacks would there be?

I heard some people keeping tokays outside and tokays do naturally live in florida now but I personally wouldnt recommend it with phelsuma. The reason being is that they are not nearly as hardy as tokays and generally dont take drops very well. I would try and keep the tank at 85-88 at all times during the day and about 75-82 at night. If you can get that to go outside then more power to you but be carefull of mites as well. Birds may attack them too so make sure the screen is strong. This may also lead to stress....Basically I would say Nay but if you must, take many percautions. If this is the only place you can keep it, I dont recommend getting it.
